About us
"Maina Freight Forwarders Ltd", began in 1979 offering comprehensive services in Air & Sea freight transportation world wide. Operations were controlled via one shared warehouse unit, and one office back then.
In the year 1995, "Maina Imports Ltd", was established to undertake import clearance from all around the world, travelling either by sea or by air freight. With direct linkage to HM Customs CHIEF computer network, the company is in a position to offer very prompt and efficient customs clearance's, with a door to door delivery to the clients within greater London on the same day. Maina was fortunate in surpassing the required annual turnover targets over the years and therefore in 1998 it took a deliberate decision to trade as a public limited company (Maina Freight Forwarders PLC). Also along the way Maina have become IATA cargo agents, and members of the BIFA association.
Maina Couriers Ltd established March 2004, is yet another addition to our group of companies. Maina Couriers Ltd offer parcel services on door to door basis around the world. Having a massive fleet of in house vehicles, and being under the wing of Maina Group of Companies, our courier wing has become well established proving on time transporation solutions off all kinds.
"The Maina Group Of Companies" now has six bonded warehouses with a branch office in Leicester which caters to the traffic emerging from/to the Midlands and North England. Alongside the importation and exploration of freight, the company also has facilities for courier, packing, trucking, and storage. There are also fully feldged offices in Nairobi (Kenya), Kampala (Uganda), Lagos (Nigeria), and Mumbai (India), with partner agents worldwide.
Maina has been able to maintain this growth year after year thanks to its dedicated and experienced staff, and of course the solid and regular support of its clientele. Being a medium sized business we are able to offer a prompt and personalized service to our customers. Apart from all of this, Maina having the right infrastructure makes it a major competitor in domestic and international transport.
